Zen Ken

Born and raised in Toronto and converted to a spiritual gangster on the West Coast of BC.  Pain and depression brought me to yoga and so excelled the evolution of my soul.

After experiencing a divorce and suffering from chronic back pain, 8 years ago I decided to try yoga. After my first class of hot hatha, I felt euphoric, pain-free and liberated. I wasn’t healed over-night, although after discovering my new passion of yoga, I felt like my life was saved.

A few years later I felt the calling to deepen my practice, by taking my 200 hour teacher training at Semperviva in Vancouver, in hatha yoga.

Prior to taking my teacher training, yoga was strictly a physical practice of core strength and stretching. My training and the influence of great teachers from around the world, opened doors into spirituality, the importance of the breath and mindfulness. This transformed my practice into a tool for all aspects of life; physical, mental and emotional.

Through my training and experience in  hatha, power vinyasa, meditation and breathwork, my goal is to give people the tools to heal physical and emotional pain and inspire them to be the humans they can possibly be.
